Emily Croteau grew up in Winchester, MA and sailed at Boston University, where she graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 2019. On the BU sailing team, Emily was named a two-time All-NEISA crew and Honorable Mention All-American. Currently, Emily also works as a Special Education Teacher for a social emotional program and attends Boston College as a graduate student. Emily has been at Pleon in a variety of roles, as a sailor on the Laser and 420 Race Teams, Junior Instructor, and Coach for five years. She is excited to be back at Pleon again as Program Director!

Abi grew up in Marblehead, MA, and is a rising junior at Tulane University studying Finance with a minor in Chemistry. On the Tulane sailing team, Abi has sailed as a crew for the women’s fleet racing, women’s team racing, and match race teams. Before college, Abi sailed in high school for Milton Academy and for Pleon on the 420 race team. Growing up, Abi spent ten summers as a sailor at Pleon and two summers as a Junior Instructor. After working as an Instructor at Corinthian Yacht Club, she returned to Pleon to coach Optis and 420s last summer. She can’t wait to be back at Pleon for another great summer!

Martin Cloos is a sailor and sailing coach from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He sailed Optimist, I420, 470, 29er, Lightning and many others. He represented his country in multiple international regattas as two Opti Worlds, one North American and three Souths, was I420 South American Champion in 2018 and second in 2016, he finished second in one Lightning Youth Worlds. As a coach, Martin worked in many countries, was the Ecuador national team coach in 2021 South Americans and is actually working with a Club in Argentina. He is currently studying Management in Buenos Aires. He is looking forward to enjoying a great summer at Pleon.
