Job Description
Pleon is looking for experienced coaches and Instructors who demonstrate knowledge and leadership to teach and advance youth sailors over different levels. The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, has a passion for coaching sailing, and has a proven track record of success. Pleon's coaching staff all work together as a team. Prior experience is required.

Pleon's mission is to involve as many young people as possible in the sport of sailing through a fund, educational atmosphere and to keep them involved and growing on a personal level for many years.  Since the Club's beginning in 1887, Pleon's flag officers and members have been youngsters under the age of 21. The program supports both serious competitors and recreational sailors of all skill levels and is focused on building sailing skills while also promoting sportsmanship, fostering teamwork, and strengthening respect for oneself and others. 

Job Requirements
-US Sailing Small Boat Sailing Instructor Level 1, CPR and First Aid, and SafeSport Certified
-Dinghy Racing & Coaching Experience and/or Keelboat experience.
-The ability to be based in Marblehead, Mass from mid-June to mid-August (housing provided for out-of-town coaches).

Pay is based on experience.

Opti Race Coach

Position summary
Pleon is seeking coach(es) for the Optimist Race Team. The Summer Session starts Mid June (daily classes with regattas throughout New England) and runs until mid August.
We're also seeking coaches for weekend clinics April - June and September through October (Spring and Fall Session/weekly usually Sundays). We encourage applicants to apply for Spring, Summer or Fall Sessions combined or separately. 
Pleon’s Optimist Race Team has a low sailor to coach ratio of highly motivated sailors who want to develop their racing skills at regional and national regattas. As a coach you will be expected to lead purposeful sessions on and off the water, supervising sailors at regattas, facilitate goal setting and develop constructive relationships with your sailors. 

Requirements:
-Substantial dinghy racing experience, optimist is highly desired
-Technical, tactical and strategic knowledge
-Coaching experience
-Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to work with and relate well to students
-Contribute to an environment that fosters respect of equipment, colleagues and sailors
-US Sailing Small Boat Sailing Instructor Level 1, CPR and First Aid, and SafeSport Certified

Pay is based on experience.
